When choosing your cricket bat we would always recommend taking the time to come and visit us in store to pick up and feel the full range but if that is not possible then here are some handy tips.
The majority if bats this size should not fluctuate too much in weight but it is very important not to get a bat that is too heavy as this will really hinder the players development and technique at a crucial early stage.
A bat that is too heavy will mean the player using their bottom hand as the dominate hand and encourage playing across the line and hitting the ball in the air.
The main difference between the bats will be the grade of willow. All our bats are constructed from English Willow, which is the best performing wood when hitting hard leather cricket balls. The higher the grade the better the ping and performance.
